Kern Canyon Road

I forgot to take a picture at the pullout, so this is a picture of Ramona at the Remington Hot Springs parking lot.

Camp Review

  • Hoping to hit Remington Hot Springs the first thing in the morning, Cassie and I slept a quarter mile east of Remington Hot Springs, on a pullout on Kern Canyon Road.

  • There was very little vehicular traffic at night.

  • The place was quiet and pretty level.

  • There are only bushes around, so there is no protection from wind or sun.

What Happened?

We arrived at Remington Hot Springs after a long drive from the Bay Area. When we pulled into the hot springs parking lot, however, there was a sign stating that it was only for day-use. So, we turned around and parked at the pullout closest to the hot springs.

We just parked, brushed our teeth, and went to bed. The place was quiet and we both slept well.

In the morning, we woke up and drove back to the Remington Hot Springs parking lot.
